{"id":389,"date":"2010-11-03T17:21:21","date_gmt":"2010-11-03T17:21:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.virtuallearning.org.uk\/?page_id=389"},"modified":"2010-11-03T17:30:36","modified_gmt":"2010-11-03T17:30:36","slug":"a-city-learning-centre","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.virtuallearning.org.uk\/?page_id=389","title":{"rendered":"A City Learning Centre"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: left;\">An evaluation for Eston CLC<\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.virtuallearning.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Eston-CLC.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-394\" title=\"Eston CLC\" src=\"http:\/\/www.virtuallearning.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Eston-CLC-300x191.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"191\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.virtuallearning.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Eston-CLC-300x191.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.virtuallearning.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/Eston-CLC.jpg 844w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Redcar and Cleveland City Learning Centre is part of a national network of 105 CLCs whose aim is to provide enhanced learning opportunities across the whole curriculum for pupils and teachers and to offer access to education to the wider community.\u00a0 Within this CLCs have identified core functions that determine the scope of a City Learning Centre\u2019s activity.<\/p>\n<p>This study covers one aspect of the activity of the CLC, which involves the provision of full day curriculum experiences for schools, which have been evaluated using a common instrument.\u00a0 This has facilitated a comparison of the responses of staff and pupils and their assessments of the effectiveness of the provision and its contribution to learning.<\/p>\n<p>It must be stressed that the findings here do not reflect the totality of the CLC\u2019s activity and its impact in other areas.
